0. Download and install mIRC from www.mirc.com and then start it.
1. When mIRC first starts it will display the connect dialog. Fill in a full name, email address, nickname, and an alternate nickname.
2. Click on servers.
3. Click on add.
4. Fill in the description, IRC server, and port, and group, then click add.
5. The server you just added should be selected under IRC server. Click connect to server.
6. After you are connected to the server, mIRC will display the favourites dialog.
7. Fill in the channel name and click join and it should connect you to the channel.
