DarkenergyDX - Revenge of Evil represents a complete overhaul of Project Imperial's first RPG game. With the decided failure of Darkenergy I, The scope of the project changed drastically.

The Redesign

The problem with Return of Evil lies in the fact that the game had a genaric feel to it. Nearly all of the graphics could be found in other RM2K titles, such as Leigon Saga or A Blurred Line. The end result caused the game to fall flat right at the start. Putting aside the genaric graphics and sound, several copies of the game came with a bug that rendered the game unbeatable.

Darkenergy DX improves on its predicessor, delivering new graphics, sound, and a completly new script, based upon the Darkenergy II ISE game engine. Rounding out this new release is a new musical score , adding in songs originally cut from the original release alongside new thematic elements.
