Cinema 5 - Eyecatch

This rare cinema is one of the two optional cinemas that separates the first half of the game from the second. This cinema sums up the major plot points of the story in the order they happened during the game. Each time the game is played, this cinema plays differantly to match the story as it unfolded.

Dance Dance Revolution - Final version

The most complicated minigame recreates DDR with surprising accuracy. The current track playing is called "Butterfly." This and two other songs, each with two difficulty levels rounds out this minigame. For the very lucky, a hidden fourth song is available once per game.

Dance Dance Revolution - PR2 version

The PR2 version of DDR featured only one track, "Brave Fighter," and the game ran at half the speed it does in the final version. Along with a nice speed increase to the arrow and character movement, the arrows themselves have been color-coded for better visual recognition.

Cinema 2 - Emella and the Mirror

This image begins the Cinema 2 sequence. What is notable here is that the water and sky are moving while the mountains in the center are motionless.

(Note: This cinema may or may not be the second one you will see while playing the game)

Image near the end of Cinema 8.

One of the two parts of the game where the message window is obscured by flames. Text is displayed one line at a time as to not obscure the characters.

(Note: This cinema may or may not be the eighth one you will see while playing the game)

Enter Hero Name feature.

Darkenergy II is one of the few titles to support this feature. The original translated version of RPG Maker 2000 by Don Miguel corrupted the enter hero name function of the program. Darkenergy II applies a correction for this bug.

Image from the forest halfway through the game.

The player meets one of the few friendly characters in the game. This image was taken in Developer Mode, as indicated by the sparklie on the left. Also notable is that this screenshot is being tinted by the ISE engine, indicating that the player is about halfway through the game.

Sagitarius at night.

Depending on what time of day you enter some areas of the game, differant events will be triggered. Here lies a deserted town engulfed in fog.

Labyrinth 7

This image shows the halfway point for the seventh level. This screenshot displays a custom message style, possible through the RCG engine. Also notable is that the screenshot is tinted from the ISE engine, indicating that the player is more than halfway through the game.
