On these pages you find all my copious data about role-playing
games, in particular about IDEAS.
You will also find information about all the games I am currently running
on-line, rules and game development and special utilities just for the
gamer. |

See you on the Game Grid!

| NightStalkers |
A freeform RPG game played on IRC on Sandnet. |
| Player's Guide |
A player's guide for IRC RPG players. |
| Eyes
in the Dark (I2D) |
Eyes in the Dark is a modern horror RPG that I started
up on the net some time ago that is just blasting off. We have bad
player-bounce and some other technical hics but the game survives and is
very popular. Read about it below! Eyes in the Dark is still running after
5 months and is a success! Join the Party! No gaming
could be easier than IRC, or more fun! |
| Rumpus! |
Well, sink my torpedoes but I'm gonna have a stab
at Rumpus again! Rumpus is a RPG to be played on IRC that has a very low-
level, combat-intensive style. I like to call it "Mortal Combat meets
Godzilla." I have no takers yet but I persevere.. because I know all
the mecha-nuts out there (and there are so many) will love it.
Players for Rumpus have begun to sit up and be counted for the 40-foot
stomping terrors that they are. You think your monster can whup
their monster? Go ahead.. I dare ya, I double
dare ya.

| IDEAS Online PC sheet |
I've been playing with Java lately and
I've made a client-server appet that allows players and a GM on IRC to
keep in touch through a pretty and simple interface that controls saves,
damage and a bunch of other number-crunching features (see I2D.) |
Player Section:
This section is for links for players of IDEAS, both in life and on
IRC, including utilities, rules and other useful information.
- Experience
and Development: A page explaining how xps are awarded,
and how you can spend them.
- IDEAS Roller: this dice roller for Win95
(in VB and C++ formats) is to assist the player in making saves
and calculations during the game. If you have Win95, request
this file from me.
- Games List: List of current games and players
and links to them all.
Rules:
- IDEAS©
is my own RPG system. It is a point-based system in the way that GURPS
or Champions is. It has been under development for over 12 years and that
includes much playtesting. On this page I will include information for
its various franchisees and players.
- Game Mechanics & Rule Updates
- Furry Tomorrow: IDEAS has recently been licensed out as the
game-mechanics for an RPG currently being developed. Becuase of its modular
design, I expect IDEAS to be used for many such games in this way.
- Adventures and Scenarios
- Kane: Where the
Wyld Things Dwell: Details about the world that all shape -shifters
and undead come from. This is the worldview shared by Near Dark,
AfterDark and Eyes in the Dark.
- Cabal: details
about demons, angels and gargoyles and how they relate.
- White Wolf:
| White Wolf should take 50% of all its royalties and pay them directly
to the writers of NightLife, upon which most
of White Wolf is clearly based, and RH+ didn't even cheese it very well..
Check out the humanity costs, could anything be cooler? I highly
recommend you have a look. It's quite likely that if I'd seen this when
I was designing IDEAS, a lot would have
been different. |
- Viecksy:
A clan of flying vampires
- Obour: A clan
of scientific vampires
- Werewolf Disciplines:
Rather than gifts based on Rank, here is a system of werewolf disciplines
more in the style of other WW games.
- Werewolf: The Cursed: Rules for integrating
werewolf players into all-vampire games . These rules are nearly complete,
I'll be making them available soon.
- Ghost: Death is not the End: Rules for
ghost characters before Wraith came out.
- Middian: We Are Between
- Gargoyles:
the Cabal: I'm planning on playing Korul Al-Wassar in a
new WW game.. so I had to sketch up some gargoyle rules for the lil' critter.
When they're reasonably done I'll post them to the web for you to enjoy.
Note that these are not as finished or polished as the rules for Cursed.
- Dice Fix: Fixing the dice-system of White Wolf so that the probabilities
work out right
- Combat System Fix: Making the combat system of White Wolf work.
Utilities:
- IDEAS Character
Sheet: clicking on this link downloads the standard System4 character
sheet.
- IDEAS Calculator (Win95): The IDEAS Calculator. Download this into
its own directory and run it. It is a game-aid useful when playing online
in Win95. (link down.)
- IDEAS Calculator (DOS): (link also down)
- Java: I am also working on a way to automate PC sheets and present
them on any web browser during the game, with information shared between
players and GM. I'm collaborating with a gamer-programmer from NeXT :)
beware we're everywhere! To find the link to your page, click on
your game and follow the link.
Games:
- Eyes in the Dark:
Eyes in the Dark is an ongoing IRC-based RPG with a modern horror flavor.
All the characters play monsters. Because of its popularity, it has been
moved onto its own page.
- Immortal: I am being urged to run live games again, and one
I am interested in is Immortal (from Precedence Games.) I am having trouble
finding players and time, now that I am not within a network, as I was
at school, but I keep trying.
- RUMPUS!:
Rumpus is a RPG to be played on IRC that has a very low- level, combat-intensive
style. I like to call it "Mortal Combat meets Godzilla." Currently
taking players.
- Near Dark: A solo game centered around a vampire called Bancroft.
- Loopy2:Who Are You?: This is the game in which I play Loopy,
the werewolf.
- PC Sheets: the following character sheets are available online
| Eyes in the Dark |
|
| Loopy2:Who Are You? |
- Loopy aka
Lewis P. Looks-Twice, the werewolf

Fluff:
fluf' : (slang) fiction taken from events in a role-playing game
- Carnival Loopy:
From the Consortium. Loopy is taken to a circus and the vampires come to
collect him.
This page dedicated to all my playtesters, without whom I could never
have accomplished all I have, and to Loopy, who never lets me forget what
it's like to be in the passenger seat, like West European, Doink, Slick,
Mexxswell, Oak, R'nagoth, Bancroft, Aleema Surr, Diva, LK1 MIUS, Eglantyne,
Burnoye, WIZ, (jeez.. there's so many!) LAWAK, tha Rakshasa, Aounghas MacOg,
