Nyo-Synthenics

Nyo-Synthenics or "Solomorphing" is Dr. Jugenos' fantastic breakthrough, a quantum-jump forward in terms of computer science and genetic engineering. The doctor developed a material which responds to discrete electronic signals. By creating a detailed model of any object, and beaming that model onto the material, it causes the material to form itself into a matrix copying that structure in minute detail. By creating a detailed simulation, the doctor can even form living nyo-synthenics with rudimentary intelligent, based upon a chaos-derived genetic algorithm.

Although Nyo-Synthenics is still a science in its infancy, the potential of its applications is limitless. The only drawback is that the solomorphs require a continues feed from a detailed hyper-powerful computer simulation to retain their cohesion and functionality from moment to moment, essentially, thier "nervous systems" are by remote-control.

Caliban

Caliban, Dr. Jugenos nyo-synthenic computer is a masterwork of nyo-synthenic technology. It is literally a self-replicating, recursive device. It's many parts literally generate its other many parts out of a nyo-synthenic matrix. The computer itself runs the simulation that generates it, it literally self-generates. It also provides Dr. Jugenos the masses of computer power he needs to operate the many nyo-synthenic simulations he creates. Caliban represents a computational speed and power many millions of times beyond that of the best Cray, and possesses a rudimentary artificial intelligence.

Caliban itself has a sort of personality, and speaks to the doctor directly. It is known to have something of a sense of humor, and admires its creator very much. When presented with the scene of the two dragons fighting in the midst of the city on a news channel it was scanning it remarked, "Either I've tapped into a re-run of Godzilla vs. Megalon, or this is something you will very much want to see, Maker."

The Mouthpiece

The mouthpiece is the doctor's first venture into nyo-synthenics. Essentially a listening device, it records everything that it observes, then crawls home to the doctor, sits on his head, and feeds it back to him through a sensory apparatus it clamps over his eyes and ears.
