This is a story I started working on a few years ago...during my sophomore year in high school, I think. It started out as a grand idea in my head. It was going to be this huge, epic story. I stopped because I didn't like how it was beginning to go. I made that mistake that a lot of rookie writer's do and tried to tackle a project far bigger than I could deal with and got way in over my head. That and I never really took the time to think any of it out. I just sat down and started writing, hoping that the ideas would simply flow. Yeah, right. How little I knew back then. This was also my first attempt at a first person perspective story. I deleted most of the story here (although I still have the whole work in progress somewhere in the deep reaches of my hard drive). Here's the Prologue and the first chapter. I've been thinking of picking this story back up someday...perhaps when I'm done with "Worlds Apart."
