Nekobe_Running_1b by Lionus (2000)
A silent morning woodland path. Suddenly, bursting upon the eye, with taut muscles working effortlessly beneath his tawny body fur ...
A PhotoShop multi-layer work in which I strayed from my lined "coloring book" style and attempted a line-less image. I found the pose interesting in that I had to use foreshortening in portraying not only Nekobe but his digitigrade legs (though it doesn't describe him as having them in any of his stories) as well. I used a blur filter to give the impression of keeping the lionmorph in focus as he ran towards us. Unsettling, but effective I think.
Over in my Furry Art gallery you can find the companion picture to this one of Nekobe wearing red jogging shorts.
I heartily recommend the Nekobe stories to you. Oh I could go on and on about him, but I think it best that you meet him yourself. Just a word of caution before I let you go off to be won over by Nekobe. Rogue's stories are at an adult-level and contain a thread of male/male intimacy. BUT, I rush to say that that intimacy is NOT what the stories are all about. Honest.
Rogue's Nekobe stories are located here.
