Beach by Lionus (1996)

At the beach.

This is one of my earliest renditions of Lionus. The figure was done on a small 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of scrap paper. I used three colored pencils (blue, yellow & red) and finished by cutting him out and sticking him onto what I thought was a nice beach pic from a calendar. Definately pre-Photoshop. :)

Lionus was very cartoony at this stage of his life. Someone who I could draw up quickly and stick up on the corner of my drawing desk every day.
