Who Am I? 
  
               My real name is Janet Gilbert, I was born July, 17, 1978 somehwere in  
               Washington DC. I am now 23 years old, and I currently live here at the 
               Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, FL. When not in school, I  
               live at my true home in Dale City, VA. 
 
  Who Is Kubo? 
  
             Kubo is character I've had since 96. He was originally a character designed 
             for the TLK MUCK back when I was into it, but soon developed into his own 
             seperate thing soon after I started doing more and more art featuring him. He's 
             also what I became the most known by in the fandom shortly after I started  
             building my old Lion King fan site. Now he is known both as my alias and as  
             my character that I plan to do the most with... well someday anyway ;) 
 

  What Are Some of Your Favorite Things?  
    
             I love hyenas (of course!) ;) But I also like other animals as well like King  
             Cheetahs African Wild Dogs, White Lions, Big Cats in general, Wolves,  
             Parrots, Dinosaurs, and Dragons. I've always loved the Animal Kingdom  
             in general and enjoy all art relating to nature and wildlife if not feebly  
             attempting to capture it in my own work. I also enjoy arts, crafts, character 
             and plot development, swimming, beach & nature walks, wacky Wal-Mart 
             runs, making fun of wierd TV, and basically just having fun. :) I also enjoy 
             working on my website when I have the time since it's a great way to relax as 
             well as find lots of other great artwork and artists. Most of all, however, I 
             enjoy being with the ones I love the most, which includes my mother, my 
             sweetheart and love; Daniel, and my best friends at both school and home: 
             Gina, Caitlin, Lynn, Cheryl, Allison, & Bethy.  

  Other Odds and Ends:  
    
             Influences: I have lots of different influences. Some well known and higly 
                                regarded and some just purely commercial. One of the strongest 
                                influences is the Lion King, one of my favorite animated movies of 
                                all time. I also enjoy the better animated features of Don Bluth, 
                                Disney and Tezuka. I'm also a child of the 80's so don't be suprised 
                                to see it's influence on me from time to time. No, this doesn't mean 
                                I'm a raver - I'm just extremely nostalgic at times when it comes to 
                                my youth ;) I also love the more artistic and sometimes stylized or 
                                conceptual works of different wildlife artists such as, Robert 
                                Bateman, Carl Brenders, Shimmel, Barbara Wallace, Sherrie 
                                Vintson, Nancy Wood Taber, and the like. 
    
                   School: Currently attending Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, 
                                 FL.. Previously attended NVCC (Northern Virginia Community 
                                College) for 3 years & obtained an Associates. Graduated from  
                                Gar-Field Senior High in Woodbride, VA - Class of 1996.  
   
                       Pets: Have 5 of Himalayan kitties. Oldest to youngest - Cocoa, Jazz,  
                                Chablie, Speck and Goof. 
   
                        Job: None currently. Have a 4 year standing as a pharmacy clerk for 
                                Giant Pharmacy. Not the best - but cool co-workers can make  
                                anything entertaining. 
  
                     Car?: Why yes I do. Most expensive thing I ever worked for besides
                                my current cataclysm of school loans. 1996, light blue, Geo
