Steve Conley had an idea for a picture,
and somehow conned Jay Naylor into
drawing it. ;-) Steve saw the usual linux logos
out there; the penguin, the fox,
and the various assorted linux logos which were just cheap photoshop hacks. He
thought all these logos were kinda dorky, so he asked Jay to draw a linux logo.
And this is what Jay came up with; the Linux Lynx logo.
Why not use the penguin or the fox, you say? Well, like I said, they're kinda
dorky. Linux should by identified with a sexy, powerful, feline creature. The
Linux Lynx is all that! So support the Linux Lynx, use her on your web site
and link this page! You'll probably want to use one of these smaller versions,
either the white or black. If it's requested, I'll try and make a clear one.
How can YOU support the Linux Lynx? Tell your friends! E-Mail Steve at
root@serpentnetwork.com and
tell him you support the Lynx (He'll keep track of people who like the
Lynx the best and use them as a petition to make her official!). Make sure
to take a look at Jay's work, which you can see
here. Direct any praise to
jnaylor@mindspring.com because
he deserves it :-)
