~ Yeah....I know what you're thinking. "Yet another review site run by some guy who thinks he's a good writer". And for the most part, you're absolutely right. This is yet another little corner of the web where some guy is voicing his opinion on things that he generally has no real control over. But I'm not a good writer. People seem to think that I am, but I'm really not.
But what I hope that this website becomes is a review site that is is set apart from others. I want this to be a website that's not run by some huge corporation (*coughgamespycough*), that's not filled with more ads than actual information, that cares more about earning a few quick bucks than making sure it's readership doesn't waste theirs. This site is designed for simplicity, and it's gonna stay simple. Whether or not it becomes massively popular or just keeps the small group of loyal readers it has now is up to the fickle Fates. But this site is never going to be huge. It's apart of BloodfyrNet, yes...but even BloodfyrNet is going to stay small.
So in the end, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want people to come to my site to see if it's worth spending their hard earned money on that "must-have" thing that Corporate America is shoving down our gluttonous throats.
~ Just like my site, my reviews are simple. When I review, I try to get my paws into everything. I try to have the full experience and pass my opinions on to you. I don't have a set criteria that I subscribe to. I don't have a scale. I state if something is good or bad, and why. What makes it good? What makes it bad?
Mostly, what you'll find here is video game reviews. I'm a hardcore gamer junkie. All I own at the moment is a Playstation 2, though don't think I am a fanboy. I believe that each system has it's inherent strengths and weaknesses, and each has a collection of awesome games. It's just that my simple budget could only afford one system at the moment, and the Playstation was my system of choice. Over the coming months, I hope to collect each of the major systems on the market. When I can, I am able to get my paws on any of the other systems, though those times may tend to be rare.
About my rants
~ I'm an opinionated bastard. The title of the site says so. ^_^ I like letting my opinions loose on a variety of topics, some of them may not be reviews. I may blow my lid off at topics involving politics, industry, or just simple, stupid shit. Everything that isn't a rant about a product falls under the heading of "Rants".
My essays
~My essays are simply my stuff that's not reviewing anything, but it's more formal than your average rant. That's all.
My opinions
My opinions are exactly that. My opinions. Agree with me. Disagree with me. Try to persuade me otherwise if you want, but I warn you. I do not like bashing. The world is a unique place, with unique opportunities. Don't bash something I may like that you've never tried. I merely present my opinions for you to read. I humbly request that you do the same.
~ The world would be so much better if people had the ability to state their opinion of something, and not risk being punished for it. Luckily, I live in the United States where that (for the most part) is achievable. I do value someone else's opinion on a matter that I may review or rant about, but only if it's presented in a conversationalist manner. Email me with things like "u r teh suck finel fantas 7 is teh gr8test game EVAR!!!!1111!!!!1111", and you'll be promptly and utterly ignored. Be sensible, be accepting that you may just not be able to change my opinion on something, and we can have a civilized, sensible debate. I like debate.
