“Well, welcome back. I hope you two enjoyed yourselves.” Swiftwing said. Her beak clicking as she spoke.
I later found out the clicking was how avians laugh. She spoke with great dignity, which was how avians viewed themselves, especially the raptors.
I felt my ears blush as I looked over Rathan’s shoulder at her. I kept Rathan between the eagle and me, one hand on his shoulder and the other around his side. My tits pressed tight against his back. I almost punched him when I felt him lift his tail lift between my legs.
I got my revenge by clamping my legs on his tail and wiggling my tits against his back. I felt him catch his breath. “Now behave.” I whispered in his ear.
“Maybe you’d feel more comfortable if you got dressed.” Swiftwing suggested with a hint of humor in her voice.
It was now Rathan’s turn to blush when he remembered that he wasn’t dressed either. We dove for our tents and dressed quickly again. I’d have to bring more clothes if I was going to loose them every night.
I rummaged round in my pack and found a blue halter and some shorts. It was still warm outside and after all the dancing and sex I was still fairly warm.
I poked my head out of the tent and went to sit by the fire where Rathan joined me took my paw in his. Swiftwing paced back and forth near the fire and told her story.
Swiftwing ruffled her feathers and said. “I called the paramedics and told them to come in the morning. When they found out I wasn’t injured as bad as you thought.
“I’m sorry about Chester. I told him to check the lifter out before we left. Evidently, he checked everything but the fuel. We ran out just as we approached the glade and clipped a tree coming in.”
“The reason I’m here is that I was looking for a disturbance I felt last night. I was meditating in my solarium when I felt it. It was like someone had plucked a string of a musical instrument. I felt the forces around be vibrate.”
“I was only able to sense the direction of it but not its distance. Fortunately several other seers in others cities also felt it and we were able to triangulate its position.”
“Since I was the closest, I was chosen to go investigate. I told Chester to check the lifter in the morning and we took off right after lunch.”
“We flew toward the position we had determined. It took us most of the afternoon to reach the coordinates. Chester had just circled the glade when the lifter shuddered and lost power. He tried to make it back to the glade and do and emergency landing. Chester must have miss judged the height of the trees because he clipped a wing as we came into land. I don’t remember anything after that until I woke with you leaning over me.”
Swiftwing leaned over and lifted the pendant on the chain about my neck. She examined it closely and looked over at Rathan.
“You have one of these also?” She asked Rathan.
Rathan pulled out his pendant.
Swiftwing took his pendant in her other wing tip and murmured a string of syllables and words. The pendants immediately started to glow a bright blue before our eyes.
“How?” I started to ask, but Swiftwing shushed me.
After a moment the pendants glow died and she released them. I felt a sort of heat from it as it returned to rest between my tits.
“Well, that clinches it. They’re authentic!” Swiftwing sighed. “The pendants are from the Goddess too.”
I sat there and looked at Rathan. He just sat there nodding his head as she made her pronouncement.
“Ok you two. What s going on?” I asked in a miffed voice.
Swiftwing looked at me in a credulous stare.
Rathan came to my defense as he felt my anger and fear rise through our link.
“Swiftwing, Astria was in an accident. She lost most of her memory and doesn’t remember much.” Rathan gave my paw a reassuring squeeze as he explained my lack of understanding. “She has no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Oh, my poor dear. I’m sorry. I didn’t understand.” She said as she made her apology. “I time past those in the Moon Dancers favor were given tokens of the Goddess’s favor. Often they were bracelets, rings, earrings, and such. Very seldom were necklaces given. I know of only once. The couple were soul bonded and the Moon Goddess had special plans for them.”
Rathan blushed deeply and looked down at the ground. All I could feel through the link was his embarrassment. This confused me even more and he looked at me and blushed again.
“Swiftwing. Ah.” His voice paused for a moment before he continued. “We were soul bonded just this afternoon. I didn’t have the time to tell you.”
“Why was Rathan telling her that she didn’t have any right to know our business?” I thought. Rathan must have read my emotions cause he answered my next question.
“Astria, the Seer’s and the Moon Dancers are related. They both draw their powers from the moons and the Goddess. In rare cases, a Seer is a Moon Dancer.” Rathan tried to explain.
Swiftwing just stood there with her beak open as Rathan and I argued back and forth. We finally wined down as we ran out of steam.
I stood and started pacing back and forth. I tripped again and Rathan dove and caught me again.
I looked up into his eyes and said. “We’ve got to stop meeting like this.”
I looked again to his eyes and fell into their hazel depths. The link between us snapped open totally and was again lost in his emotions. *Concern, wonder, yes and love* I couldn’t help but return the same. All I could do was draw him into a deep kiss and which seemed to last forever.
We finally broke apart when we heard Swiftwing chuckle. We looked over at the golden eagle as she said.
“Well I can see that you are indeed soul-bonded. I don’t know about you but I need to get some sleep. The paramedics will here in the morning to take Chester and me back to the city.”
We let Swiftwing have the larger of the two tents since she need the most room. Rathan and I took the other tent.
“You might as well stay with me in my tent.” I told him.
It only took us a few minutes to straighten camp before retiring to tent and bed. Rathan helped me lay out my sleeping bag and get ready for bed. We lay on my sleeping bag and covered ourselves as best as possible.
“Rathan I’m still not too sure of how I’m suppose to act. This frightens me. Everything is happening too fast. I’ve never had a mate before much less a Soul-mate.” I said as I stretches and picked twigs from my tail.
“We’ll have more time when we get back to town and can sort things out. Come on lets get some sleep. We’re gonna need it tomorrow.” He said.
I snuggled close to Rathan, burrowing down into his shoulder and arm. His scent making my sex moist again but I was too tired to do anything about it.
I gave him one last kiss before closing my eyes to sleep. The last thought was the moon Goddess had said to us as she stood over us in the glade as we lay there tied to each other.
“You two have a long and interesting life ahead.”
