I am lazy right now, so you just get bombarded with images until I fix up this page.

Poor Tex
I made Blaine from a bait Tex. He had a haircut, stains, and practically no symbol. I pulled off his head and took out his hair (which I have saved). You can also see the paint tests I was doing. Eheh.

Base coat finished
I started out using my airbrush, which I had never even touched before. I had problems with it though, so I ended up painting him with a regular brush. I used a mix of various acrylic paints. Unfortunately, it will come off if mishandled. I treat him very gently.

Brown eyes
I repainted his eyes brown.

Scar
Here is his signature scar. I did paint the bottom of his feet later.

Darkened hooves
I figured out the airbrush, and did a subtle darkening of his legs. This is a comparison of his darkened left leg to the right.

Done!
All done painting!

Another shot.

These are photos of the hairing process. I used a curved needle and dental floss to pull the hair through. Unfortunately, this method left a crease in the hair that was hard to remove. (mouseover for fun alt tags)

Tadah! ... stupid crease...

Done! You can see I ended up scraping off paint. Argh.

Straightened, cut and styled

Yay! Pretty! I also added his earring.

His braid, and a cute silver hair thing

Blaine isn't completed yet. I still need to do a tail and some other stuff. Here is an image of what he should look like when I'm done.

I bought my hair from Mist Valley. It came crimped, but I straightened it with an iron before use. Here are before and after pics of the hair:
Ewww... frizz...
Yay! Nice and soft and straight.
