~Joining~

"What are we? A street gang!? One does not join the Druids of Moonlocke... one realizes the Druid within, like the seed that feels the oak within its own being." -Ocri Erik Dell

Welcome to the threshhold! Beyond this "door" lies a world that has always been and always will be. Valor reigns in this place, and it lives in the hearts of those called the Druids. I'd like all those interested to understand that the term "Druid" has no relationship to the Druids of the real world. In Furcadia, the Druids of Moonlocke are a race unto their own, bearing no beliefs or traditions but their own. Read well and think deep upon the words you discover. Soak them in if you are to accept them and become a Druid. Understand that the Valley of Moonlocke is a place of healing, rest, and friendship above all. Anyone can go there, but there comes a certain priviledge to become a full fledged Druid. There are three leveled of Druidism that have changed within the ranks of the New Druids. This is as they stand now:

Jeri (J-Air-Eye) "Striving Ones." These are Druids of the first rank. They carry the Sapphire stone, and are pupils of the True Druids. Understand that, as Jeri, one may not go down into the temple without a Dei'Sa or an Ocri. A Jeri also is not considered a true "Druid." You must pass the Test, proving to the guild that you are worthy to become a Dei'Sa. You are a furre in trial, but still one step closer to being one with the guild.
Dei'Sa (Dee-Sah) "The People." This is the rank of the true Druids, who carry Emerald stones. They may grant other furres Sapphire stones, and also may go down into the temple, if they see fit.
Ocri (Oak-Rye) "The Powers." The highest rank of Druid, who carry Jade stones. They make decisions and keep the peace in the valley. They can both recruit, promote, and remove furres from the guild. It is very difficult to obtain this status.

** Note: No Druid, despite rank, has "supremacy" over the others. There are rights given to each rank, true, but all are considered equal in value. Even furres who do not belong to the guild have moral rights as well as responsibilities in Moonlocke. **

With that out of the way, how does one join? There is one true way:

You may be given a Sapphire by any Dei'Sa or Ocri, ICly, within the game. It is important to realize that the guild is almost entirely In Character, and therefore joining the guild is also an IC event.

In either case, you are asked to email Grand Ocri Hawk for roster purposes, after you've joined ICly. In this email, please provide:

1) Name of your character who has joined
2) Gender
3) E-mail address at which you may be reached
4) The name of the granting furre who gave you the Sapphire

** Note: Make sure you've read through the whole webpage, so you have a good idea of what we're about. Also, please do not e-mail until after joining ICly. **

This being done, add to your description what color stone you are wearing. We ask that you do not say the guild's name in your description, as a way to silently show your rank. Other Druids will know you by your stone. Visit Moonlocke often (go to "Locations" for directions). And please, vote for us in the Furcadia Top 10 after joining. We all look forward to new friends among us...
