intrr Pass:

Terrain:
Rocky and mountainous. The pass is narrow, the high trail thinning out to the breadth of a single furre at times. Below the trail, nearly one hundred feet down, runs the swift class five Memnus river. To the sides of the pass are the shear, rocky walls of the Shearspire Mountains.

Climate:
In the Spring and summer months, Wintrr Pass holds a temperate climate. There are often small showers which descend from the mountaintops in the mornings and evenings and the pass is more often than not shrouded in a dense fog. In the Fall and Winter however, Wintrr Pass becomes quite impassible as the snows begin to fall and quickly engulf the trails.

Flora:
Little to none grows in Wintrr Pass, aside from the occasional lichen or other hardy plantlife.

Fauna:
Reports of trolls and giants in the region abound, however these rumors are as of yet insubstantiated. Most of the animal life in the pass consists of mountain goats, small rodents, and the occasional deer, all non-anthropomorphic. However, in the Fall and Winter, these animals vacate when the snows claim the pass.

Report (From the guide tomes of Atroch The Wise):
"Toted as one of the eight greater wonders of Systra, Wintrr pass stands as a testament to the beauty of nature. During the Spring and Summer, the walls of the narrow valley cascade with hundreds of majestic waterfalls, fed by the melting snows above. These subsequently flow into the turbulent Memnus river below, which then vacates the pass and enters the Wayfarer's Wood. In the Winter, however, these waterfalls transform into great walls of sapphire blue ice, locked in a perpetual freefall until the warmth of Spring frees them. When traveling through Wintrr Pass, it is advised that one leave in the Summer, when most of the ice has melted and the water level of the Memnus river is lower. One stop of interest that a traveler may wish to make along their way are the Crystal Ice Caverns. These caves, littered with a boundless number of semi-precious stones, also make a perfect resting spot for those adventurers who cannot make it through the valley before dusk." - Atroch The Wise
