After one hundred years more the Greek edition was to selling still pretty well. So I was making to hire a man named Olaus Wormius for translate the Necronomicon into Latin which a lot of the scholars seemed to thinking was cool to speak. He was thought that to appease the Western church maybe we were oughting to make up a story like I had spend ten years in the Arabian desert with the visions and all of ruins. The Bible was being full of all that sort of things so Olaus was think maybe Christians like that. I was say that's fine, my friend Cthulhu and I did to spend ten years in the desert but it was not exactly the annals of ancient history that we were have exploring if you know what I am mean. But we could changing that and we did.
Now Olaus was never say to me this, but I am thinking that he was want to get my book added into the Bible. (That mighting to sound funny today but back then the gospel truth was always to being changed depending on what was sell the best, it was a "living document" much of like the American Constitution is today.) When you are think about it the idea is not so crazy. I mean the Bible is being an anthology and it has much of strange things in it like lots of killing babies and like bigamy and like that racy Song of Solomon (which I like though, "your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes" is being genius). Well any way, I am thinking Olaus Wormius was want to cash in on how well the Bible was selling.
But would you know it, Pope Gregory IX was come down upon us like Michael had do before. He was try to push a big novel he was written about a Crusader knight and all the Arab women that this fellow was seduce and being bawdy among. It was pretty good erotic but not to sell like my book, mine was have not so much of sex scenes but better ones, to me at least. So of course the pope was say the Necronomicon was blasphemy. I think because of Olaus wanting to getting it in the Bible, but Gregory IX was not needing to have a reason, he was being the pope and could just to say something was blasphemy and it was. He was issue against my book a papal decree, they were calling it a "bull" which I am think was funny. So in the end our sales were damage and we were not to getting in the Bible. It was not being fair but popes never are, they are being bullies a lot and are writing just so-so pornography.
