Too Terrifying to Print
The
Intentionally Missing Adventures Up from the depths, here they are at last: The books that never made it to print. The missing adventures that Virgin Publishing decided should STAY missing. Now! for the first time, these lost tales of The Doctor are seeing the light of day!
Enjoy the cover paintings as you read the back cover blurbs. We're sorry but the actual stories can't be provided, due to their semi-lethal contents.

BIMBOS OF THE STRATOSPHERE - Having had success with Missing Adventures penned by televison writers before, Virgin tried it again. This wonderful attempt was the result. The Word on rec.arts.drwho is that this book was shelved by Virgin, when FOX bought the rights to it, in order to develop it into their next Doctor Who movie.

DEVOLUTION - This Tom Baker story was all ready for print, when suddenly it was yanked off the slate and buried, quickly. Nobody can explain this bizarre behavior, or why the word "fnord" suddenly began appearing everywhere at the Virgin offices.

DISCO OF THE DALEKS - This was to have been the first appearance of The Daleks in the Missing Adventures series. Rumor has it that the free pre-release copy of this book that was slipped to Terry Nation at WorldCon, was the reason the Daleks never were spotlighted in Virgin's books again.
