"WHAT!?" Geoffrey exploded. "You want the FREEDOM FIGHTERS to carry
out a rescue mission! They couldn't even attempt a rescue mission if they
tried!"
"Geoffrey St. John," A feminine voice said. The door to the throne
room suddenly opened. Through it came the largest procession that anyone
had seen in a long time.
They were all robots. Some looking like rabbits, some stoats, some
foxes, some even hedgehogs. It was obvious that they'd been turned into
robots.
Leading the procession was a young female squirrel, maybe 15 years
of age. By her side was a blue hedgehog, his manner unmistakable to Bune.
Then there was the 2 tailed orange fox, shorter and less of age than most
of the others. There was a half-robot female rabbit, by her side a coyote,
royal looking. Then there was the large Walrus, large and of great girth.
"You were saying, St. John?"
"W...w..."
"Sally, I see you've gotten the sword back..." Elias said.
"I have, Elias... but it seems to have chosen me," Sally responded.
"'chosen'?"
"Chosen me as a vessel..."
"Well, she fell into zee pit, after being chased by zat Kodos, and
zen she floated up from zat pit and blasted Kodos... she said 'zee sword's
vessel iz unbreakable'..." the coyote said, indicating he was of french
origin.
"Who-who are these people, Bune?" Mura asked, looking up slightly at
Bune.
"Oh, yeah! These are the Freedom Fighters, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sally
Acorn, Rotor the Walrus, Antoine the Coyote, Bunnie Rabbot, and my brother
Tails Prower!"
"Bune...?!" the child voice of Tails asked. "Bune!" He cried, jumping
toward his taller brother. "Where have you been...?"
"Oh, out somewhere, bro'." Bune winked.
"Y-you succeeded...! Princess!" Geoffrey said, dumbfounded.
"Le Pew, we did this stuff all the time," Sonic responded with natural
contempt.
"You want to say that to my face, mate?" Geoffrey said, losing his
temper from embarrassment.
"Yeah, Le Pew, we did this stuff all the-"
"Everyone.... shut up!!!!" Sash yelled, jumping in the middle of the
room and making an impressive fire display. All eyes swiveled from what
they were doing and looked, mesmirized by it. Bune suddenly stepped forward.
"Alright, now that she has your attention... look, Elias, we need your
help. We need you to put the Freedom Fighters back into active service...
and let them accompany us on our mission. Alright?"
"No, sire, I advise against it. They're a group of novices!" Geoffrey
advised.
Elias pondered over it a while, and then gave his answer.
"...yes."

"Sire," Geoffrey started, regaining his regal state of mind; "The ship
that they entered the forest with is damaged; I saw it when I came. The
cargo hold was broken. The bridge is small; it can only hold the Freedom
Fighters and these other three by estimate."
"That's perfect," Sally said, forgetting that she wasn't in authority.
"Let's get our supplies together and head out."
"Hey, that girl..." Tails started. "She..."
"...looks alot like sugah-hog!" Bunnie finished, putting her quaint
accent into the fold.
"What?" Sonic responded. "I don't see it."
"Neither do I," Sash responded, looking at Sonic.
"It's something in their eyes..." Mura responded. "You almost look..."
"Guys, we don't have time to be seeing if we're alike or not!" Sash
responded sternly. "We have to go and help them!!"
------
Soon the supplies were all aboard the ship. It was stocked full of
food and supplies, as they had no Station Square to stop to for housing
or food. The bridge and halls would have to double as sleeping quarters,
as the cargo hold was broken and it would not be safe sleeping in there.
It was not long before the ship had taken off. IT was not known how
long the journey would be. Perhaps a couple of hours if they made it in
record time. Or perhaps a few days if they were unlucky.
They didn't have a few days to spare. They were on borrowed time already.
Mura was sitting alone in one of the hallways. The hallways weren't
as much hallways as they were recharging stations for the SHADOW-bots.
The ceilings were high and there were many places to sit, as there were
no 'bots there. There were windows, as Robotnik could save valuble fuel
by using Solar Power on some of his ships.
Soon the door opened. It was Bune. He looked at her, seeing that she
was troubled, and started to speak. "Hey, why the long face?"
Mura looked up from thought and noticed him. "Oh, nothing... I'm just
thinking about... him."
Bune looked up in comical thought. "Who?"
"Stop teasing, Bune, you know who. FAK."
Bune smiled slightly. "Come on, don't ruin your day thinking about
him..."
"I can't help it," Mura stood up, looking up at Bune. She was shorter,
6 inches shorter, than he. She walked over to the large window and looked
out at the water. "We're crossing the continent already... Are you sure
we won't be defeated by him before we can save them?"
Bune suddenly turned serious, walking to the window next to her. "I'm
sure. Dead certain." Looking out into the shining sea, his eyes flickered
with silent fury. The rage built up inside of him. He wanted to let it
all out, beat the murderer to a pulp for what he probably did to everyone.
Though he was hiding it, he thought that they were all dead. He thought
that all of them were dead. He wanted to kill him. Ultimate life. Though
he knew he couldn't get Mura and Sash to stay back at Knothole, he would
let them come. He would protect them. No more innocents.
He just wanted... revenge.
