I spent a little time getting this particular suit ready, more like two to 2 1/2 weeks. I can easily tell you that it was one of the most fun things I've done out in public. I did this suit for two events. The first was to the Detroit, Michigan, airport, and the second was to Millennicon in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thanks to PandaGuy and Protius for snapping them.

For some reason, Panda's camera turned my purple suit into a reddish colored one. Weird...

My deaf club had a St. Patrick's Day party, and I just had to go as an elf of sorts. I didn't want to go all out on makeup like I had in the past with other costumes and makeup jobs. This won me second place, and the guy that won first place looks ok, but a little better dressed than I.
