Dancing Vixen

Created November 2001

This picture grew out of a random figure sketch; I had originally intended for it to be a bit more classical and tranquil. but then her outstretched hand seemed to cry out for a veil, and the exotic dancer grew from there. I've always loved belly-dancing costumes. Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board. The original art has an amorphous black shadow in the background, which I have since dumped.
