So who am I anyway? I've been asking myself the same
question. My family and non-furiends call me Jess, my furiends
call me Aelis or Montana. I'm 5'3" and have an ever changing
hair color (fading red at the moment with a bit of the natural
brown roots showing). I've been calling myself a fur for almost
a year now. I love all kinds of music, but alt. country and
psychobilly are my favorites. I play and own a guitar, banjo and

Mandolin, that doesn't mean I can play them well, hehe. I did have a bass for a short while but I sold it in order to get the mandolin. The next instrument I want to buy is an upright bass, although I've got my eye on a banjolin (banjo/mandolin) that I saw in a local music store. I'm a very friendly furson, used to be very quiet and shy but I've been much more outgoing lately. I can often be found lying on the living room rug in a sunny spot with my 2 cats.

Personal Furriness: I love every part of the fandom, art, music, stories, books, poetry, comics, movies, cartoons, plushies, fursuits, everything, hehe. I've always been a fur, me and my sister used to run around the house pretending to be skunks with blankets in our pants as tails and I've always identified myself with cats. When I first found the fandom I created an otter character, Suriana Summerfield, I RPed her in  RedwallMUCK and AOL chatrooms. I quickly realized I needed an identity I could relate to, a projection of myself as a fur. At the time my SN was Montanabuffalo, I've always loved buffalo, my spirit guide is one. I RPed a buffalo character Montana in AOL chatrooms but that just didn't seem right. It wasn't long before I stopped beating around the bush and realized my true identity as a cat. The blue fur is a play on actually cat coloring, blue is actually a bluish gray as in Russian Blue coloring, but my identity, Aelis Montana is a dark navy blue. Just recently I realized my affinity towards being somewhat dog-like, howling at the moon, feeling overly protective of friends and family and making very uncat-like noises. I went through a short crisis in which I questioned my life as a cat but soon realized that my new behaviors were very basenji-ish. It all fit together since Basenji's are known as the cat-dogs, they lick themselves clean like cats, they can't bark but instead howl and make a yodeling noise much like uncat-like noises I'd recently been making. Also basenji's also have that "blue" coloring, although it's very rare because it's not an AKC standard for the breed. So what does this all mean? When you put the pieces together it means that my furry identity is a dark blue furred cat, Aelis Montana, who always has the taller ears of a basenji, she can change size at will from a small house cat to a 5'3" morphic cat with a more human body, to a blue furred basenji. =^.^=
