So...you want to know who I am, huh? You want to know the wolf behind the writing, and even the man behind the wolf. Fine, but don't say I didn't warn ya.

I was born David John Savitsky on November 22, 1980. I went by DJ for a while back in the mid-80's before switching over to Dave. LoneWolf is a nickname I picked up in the early 90's. Don't even remember where anymore...all I know is that it stuck like none other. Among my circle of friends, it's interchangeable.

I had my first exposure to furrydom sometime in '96. At the time I really didn't think much of it one way or the other. Then, in about Jan. of '98 I stumbled upon a link to Furry Pleasures. I picked a story at random--The Werewolf!'s "Override." From that point on I've been hooked.

It was through The Werewolf!'s stories on FP that I found FurNation. He was once one of the artists hosted here...he has since left.

Sometime around Aug. of that same year, LoneWolf became more than a nickname. He became another part of myself...my furry self. And, since then I believe, my truer self. I have been working up my name in the furry community since then, and finally felt confident enough to apply for my own site on FN in July of '99. A friend questioned this move saying FN was an artist's domain, and I was no artist. I told him that some draw with pencil, some with paint, some with the computer...I draw with words. Apparently that was a good enough argument for him.

So here I am.

In real life, I'm a Senior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. If you live in the area, or are going to be passing through, drop me a message. I'd love to meet you. I am majoring in computer science with a focus on business apps and web design.

In my free time (whatever that is) I like to read, write, swim, hike, camp, bike, listen to music (any and all kinds), river raft (in the summer), ski (in the winter), and bum around the 'net. My long term plans are to make a living as an author. But that's half luck as it is, so I'm opting to study for a dependable job and see what happens down the road.

I am Catholic...a major influence in my life. I am also gay, which raises many questions...and sometimes worse. But you play the hand life deals you the best you can, so what can I say? I personally don't see any conflict in interests between the two lifestyles. Contrary to popular belief, God and gay are not mutually exclusive.

Physically, I'm 6'2", 190 lbs. Just slightly chunky around the middle, but I'm working on that. I have short, spiky hair. Naturally it's brown, but the top is highlighted blonde. I have gray eyes and sport a goatee. I have two earrings in my right ear...a small silver loop and a "diamond" stud. When out in public and during the daylight hours I'm pretty much a t-shirt and jeans guy. Late hours, however, I find clothing to be to confining and prefer to go au-natural.

When in the persona of LW, on the other hand, I'm closer to 6'4", 200 lbs. But it's all muscle. I'm covered in the typical salt and pepper gray of the gray wolf, but it fades to more of a cream color on my palms, muzzle, and along my chest and stomach, down under my groin and along the inside of my thighs. I have two scars--one on my right arm going from the outside corner of my shoulder blade down and around to the middle of my bicep, and another on my left leg running from my hip down the middle inside of my thigh. I have two earrings in my right ear...both small gold loops. Clothing is always optional but not preferred (that's what fur is for, isn't it?).

Well, that's me in a nutshell. If I feel more needs to be said, I'll add it at a later time.

Later.
