When you first enter, it looks like an ordinary grade school. As you walk down the hall though, the building rumbles, and when you look out a nearby window, part of it seems to be missing now. A computer in a nearby empty classroom seems to have been left on, so sitting down you start reading....

(Completely Invincible Raijin-Oh)
Raijin-Oh eyecatch God Raijin-Oh eyecatch
This was the first of the Eldoran trilogy, and apparently the most popular of the three. It actually made 10th on the top 10 list of Super Robots in a survey in Japan. The Jark/Jaku empire, in pyramid-and-crystal-looking spaceships arrives to attack Earth. They are about to launch a missle, when they are attacked by a giant robot, Raijin-Oh! He tries to stop the missle, but Belzeb detonates it, releasing it's payload of akudama into the atmosphere,s cattering them, and sending Raijin-Oh down to earth, where it crashes into the school of our main characters. Before they can be crushed, they all get moved into a subspace pocket, and the chest of Raijin-Oh opens to reveal a figure of light, who calls himself Eldoran, warrior who protects the Earth. He can't fight them, so he recruits the class of 5th-year students to defend the earth, and gives them special medals, which they then discover shortly thereafter allow them to activate machinery which transforms their classroom into a command center, and launches the three components of Raijin-Oh, each piloted by a different kid: Ken-Oh(a humanoid sword-weilding robot) by Jin, Juu-oh(a blue lion) by Kouji, and Hou-oh(a red falcon with a sword tail) by Asuka. They are able to then combine by inserting all three of the pilots' medals into the Raijin-Commander, and initiating the Muteki Gattai. Their main enemy are these akudama that are released in the beginning. Whenever the word "meiwaku", meaning trouble(I think) is used aorund them, they turn themselves into an approximation of whatever was referred to. They grow slowly at first, guided by Belzeb's henchman, until Belzeb shows up and charges them with increased power, alongside some sort of fairy living inside his ribcage. Later on Belzeb gets a mech which can combine with the Jakujuu(the transformed akudama), and the kids find Bakuryu-Oh, which is operated form the control center, and can perform Chou Muteki Gattai to combine with Raijin-Oh into God Raijin-Oh.
The series itself is mostly character-driven, as opposed to plot driven. The plot doesn't really kick in until the series is almost done, but there are a lot of little things which carry over. There is also a general in this who wants to claim Raijin-Oh for the army, but is unable to because the medals ONLY respond to the kid they were given to. The series itself is 51 eps, followed by 3 OVAs.
(Life-force Explosion Ganbaruger)
I've only seen the first episode, but this one is goofy to the max IMO. In this one a ninja father is training his ninja kid, in the course of which he whacks some sort of lit bomb away, which impacts on this shrine mound and cracks it, releasing a demon. THis demon battles Eldoran, both only seen as balls of light(though you can also catch a glimpe of Ganbaruger at the center of Eldoran's ball). Eldoran manages to seal him abck in, ro so he thinks. A chip falls out, and the demon escapes. He goes to a movie theater and puts some sort of mystical sign ont eh screen, turning it into a monster pair of scissors-type-creature, and inre sponse, Eldoran gives the kids 3 mecha, which I don't know the names of offhand, but are a cat, a elephant, and a bird. These three can combine into Ganbaruger. The ninja kid seems to be the "main" pilot, and at the end the demon, who flies around on a broomstick, turns the ninja kid's dad into a talking dog for attacking him. They get 2 upgrades later on, and the upgrade mecha are piloted by the two alternate pilots. Though I didn't watch any further, from what I heard sections of the city transform to launch the three Ganbaruger mecha.
