Furcadia

Although the title of this page hilights Furcadia, it is far from the only online community of furs out there. Most of theseare what are known as "MUCKs" or Multi-User Character Kingdoms. These are usually text-based, rather thasn graphical, and you use programs on the server and properties on yourself and others to view and interact with the world around you.

Furcadia is an online game, basically a MUCK with graphics. You create a unique character that is either feline, canine, equine, musteline(weasel), or rodent. You choose sex, colors, and a name. Then you walk around the various levels, talk to other people, and interact with things. You can even join role-playing Guilds, and role-play your character in the Furcadia universe. Or you can just wander, and socialize. You even have the option to build your own levels for people to visit. The program is a Alpha version, and is available for free download at Furcadia's home page.

Sociopolitical Ramifications, or SPR for short, is a rather large MUCK based in Sweden. As such, there is not much cenorship, other than in the park for public appearances. There are no builing limits, so feel free to create what you want, and characters of all types are here, from furs and scalies, to humans and cyborgs(I have a Transformer character there as well).

Tapestries is an adults-only all-furry muck. No humans here, and be prepared to see all kinds of activity, from the sensual to exxotic, to some others would find downright revolting, there's something for everyone.

FurryMUCK is the original MUCK for furries... thre are some other character types here and there, but humans are few, if my memory serves me corrctly. Rather sprawling and easy to get lost in.

FluffMUCK is another furry MUCK, and this one is harsh on guests, no the theory that if they can't survive the heckling, then they're not wanted there anyways. There's also plenty of what other MUCKs would consider spam, as it was originally created partly with that purpose in mind.

There is also a RedWall MUSH, where you can roleplay a character in Brian Jaques's RedWall universe.
