Sakura

Created January 2002

Done for the art show at Further Confusion 2002, this is a furry representation of my cat Sakura, arranging cherry blossoms (sakura) in a kimono. The Japanese character read - you guessed it - sakura. She ended up a little skinny-looking - more like she was when we found her than she is now, plump and spoiled, but she refused to sit still and let me draw her. Done in Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board.
