The Scenarios

There are three types of Scenario in Furry Runners:
Combat: Fighting and defending scenarios with fists, weapons and Magic.
Confront: Non-combat scenarios that involve using skills & traits and attributes.
Escape: Scenarios that involve avoiding combat and confront scenarios either due to inability to fight or instigate, or just because the character doesn't want to!

Combat

In Combat scenarios, a character will typical fight an enemy. Enemies will vary in Furry Runners. They can be as simple as a thief who wished to try and rob the party, or as complex, (and dangerous), as a rogue Runner who is intent in becoming Death Incarnate! Whoever, or whatever it may be, there's one thing for certain: Either he's going down, or YOU are!
Combat scenarios will involve characters mainly using their strength, agility, and weapons. Runners will probably opt to use their Magic in these instances.

Confront

In Confront scenarios, a character will encounter instances where they have to overcome obstacles, extract information from people, and talk their way out of perilous situations. In this kind of scenario, a character will primarily use their wisdom and any skills & traits they have that fit the situation. For example: Bribing a guard would need someone with high wisdom and possibly a skill in either bartering, fast talking, or perhaps even close-up conjuring! Not all Magic has to be fireballs and lightning strikes!
Other Confront scenarios may require the character to use Strength too. Moving a heavy rock from the entrance to a cave for example. However, Wisdom is also recommended. Moving the rock might cause it to roll!

Escape

An Escape is sort of like a get-out clause if a character wishes to avoid a scenario, or if they feel that actually participating would do more harm than good. Some instances that could warrant an escape might include refusing to kill a thief if she turned out to be the daughter of a King. The monarchy would probably send out an army of warriors, or perhaps even some hired rogue Runners to finish off the party! In this case, just saying no and legging it would be a safer option!
Escape scenarios involve characters using their stride and pace to run away. If they decide that the subject might pursue them, they could use their weight and attempt to shove him over, THEN leg it!

Basic Rolls

Scenarios are controlled by Dice Rolls. Furry Runners uses a percentage system utilizing a D10+D10x10. If you have access to, and wish to use it, a D100 could be used to equal effect!
In each instance, the player adds together the numbers he wishes to use for that scenario.
A Combat roll would normally include Strength, Agility and a Weapon. A skill or trait can be used as well if the player decides.
A Confront roll would normally include Wisdom and possibly one or two skills & traits.
An Escape roll would normally use Stride, Pace and possibly Weight if the character wants to shove over their pursuer!
Once a total is calculated, the player rolls the D10+D10x10 (or D100). If the total on the dice is LOWER than the character's total, then he succeeds and the scenario has a positive outcome. If the total on the dice is HIGHER than the character's total, then he fails and the scenario has a negative outcome.

Basic Damage

Damage done to an enemy is simply the combined totals of whatever attributes and/or skills & traits the character has used. For example: If a character is fighting, and uses Strength of 15, Agility of 10, and a Staff Weapon of 15, then the total damage is 40 points. The enemy can then attempt to evade or use damage deflection with armour etc.
