Like MovieSetter, IFF Animations were developed for the Amiga. Each frame is stored as a delta from the previous frame. IFF animations can be looping or non-looping, and may contain sound. There is a range of possible frame compression methods, but most common is Type 5.

ShowAnim displays IFF Anim-5 animations on any MS-DOS compatible PC with VESA Video BIOS Extensions. Sound can be played through a SoundBlaster compatible sound card.
