Badges? We don't need no steenkin badges. Unless you go to a convention.

Also known as The Page That Shows How Much I Don't Have A Life.

[ef02a.gif] [ef02b.gif] I decided to be a Eurofurence sponsor again for EF 8, as you can see. For Eurofurence, the perks of a sponsorship, such as the free con T-shirt and free drinks and snacks more than outweigh the costs. I definitely had fun and did more drawing than in the two months before the con. Maybe it's because I was Security this con, which gave me a look behind the stage so to speak, but I have the idea this con was much less organised than the previous ones. And the amount of people showing up for Cairyn's and my Storytelling & Layout in Comics SIG was... disappointing. Still, it could've been a lot worse.

[ef01.gif] Eurofurence 7. Behold the yellowness, for it is the sign of the Sponsor. Also, together with Cairyn I held a workshop on drawing, which as far as I can tell was recieved pretty well. Me happy.

[ac01.gif] Ahh, Anthrocon '01. They moved to a new, larger hotel, which is good. The hotel had 23 floors and only three elevators, which are probably the stuff of harrowing tales for years to come. I don't think I had a quiet moment all four days of the convention, but it was worth it. =)

[ef00.gif] Eurofurence 6 is the first con where I helped the staff more actively. It's dirty, tiresome work, but very rewarding. The downside is that I didn't got to do as much socialising.. But still, good location, nice weather, wonderful people. =)

[ac00.gif] After the previous two, Anthrocon '00 was perfect. The weather was nice, everthing was taken care of and unlike the previous time, I got to see /loads/ of the sights of the area. Also, I met some wonderful friends RL for the first time. The badge is colored pencil on colored paper, done by Skitty.

[ef99.gif] Eurofurence 5 was sort of a mixed bag.. The gang was all there, and so was the atmosphere. However, the weather didn't really want to cooperate and the location had some.. issues. The food.. Ah, the food. Even die-hard student-cafeteria goers didn't want to touch the unrecognisable reddish fluid.
But still, t'was fun.

[ac99.gif] Encouraged by the success of EF4, I decided it was about time I visit the US of A. So, off I went. It was a less than perfect experience.. Philladelphia got hit by the worst heatwave in 50 years, which meant you mostly tried to not move after 13:00. Luckily, some very nice folks came to the rescue.. Thanks, you know who you are. And I got to see Episode 1 weeks before other Europeans. Neener! =)

[ef98.gif] Eurofurence 4, my first furry convention.. Having barely missed EF 3 and seeing it was in the Netherlands in 1998, I made sure not to miss it. I met some quite interesting new friends here.. And I got my first sketchbook and sketches from artists in it! =)
