This site is all about Athalon the Ferret, his offerings in furry literature and music, and his other hobbies and interests. Athalon is a 17 year old mustie, with a smart mouth, and a cracked sense of humor to go with it. He lives in El Paso, Texas (US), far away from the other major Texas cities, in the middle of the Chihuahua Desert of Mexico. But he is known to visit Furcadia on a regular basis to find himself. Practice his aviation skills. And linger over cappuccino.

Athalon is a young teen ferret, proud of the cinnamon guard hairs, newly sprouting through his bright orange, wooly undercoat. His ears and head glow under their halo of blonde fur - and a backwards baseball cap - while his paws and tailtip are set off by the richness of sable. Ath wears his blue-and-gold highschool jacket (# 68) over an elvishly grey, hooded sweatshirt, with phat Tommy's clutching vainly at his slim hips and plaid flannel boxers. A friendly pair of Doc Marten's peeks from beneath his jeans, as he lazes against any wall to-paw; a favorite skateboard lounges, too, nearby. From a heavy silver dogchain about his throat depends FurPride's rainbow triangle-and-paw.

Healer-Mage. A Shay'a'chern acolyte (still in training), who assists other Shaych newly brought into the tribe, and those hurt in battles with the otherworlders. A faint aura emanates from his paws, which envelops him and his subject fiercely during a Healing. The price he pays for his powers is a lifetime of meditation and loneliness, study and weariness, pain and sadness. Yet he is content in his calling. [Mustie Pride][Mustie Alliance]

Ath is a well-travelled little ferret, and has spent time visiting most of the 48 states and part of Europe. His favorite weekend getaway spots include: White Sands, New Mexico - the world's largest gypsum dunes, and source for some great art. Cloudcroft, New Mexico - a wonderful, cool hideaway in the Sacramento mountains, with a really neat solar observatory. Ruidoso, New Mexico - like Cloudcroft, but with horse racing, and Mesilla, New Mexico - an historic frontier town with a large art/music community.

When he's not scampering around Furc, Athalon can be found in the library reading whatever is at paw, at the piano composing music or recording MIDI's, at his desk writing at various projects, or on his computer, messing with miscellaneous sorts of programming.
