0NA |
The new calendar is adopted |
|
36NA |
The Gifted begin to feel free to practice again, taking up crafts
such as healing and wayfinding, avoiding the title "Mage." |
|
174NA |
The first "pets" are created. These creatures, crosses of other animals, are
bought by the noblemen of Estanyn. The "pets" are created from the best
parts of other animals: the pelt of a feline, the loyalty of a dog,
and the strength of a horse. |
|
179NA |
The Gifted make a formal protest to the kings and dukes that the so-called
Daansi are violating the code of the Gifted - to only use magic to
help those in need, not for finacial gain. Their protest is noted but ignored.
|
|
184NA |
By this year, every nobleman has a pet of the Daansi's making. |
|
189NA |
A new fad develops, for sentient pets that could have conversation
with their owners. The Daansi make a public proclamation that the High
King of Estanyn would have the first pet that they perfect. |
|
190NA |
The Daansi report that their first pets are completed, but are not perfect.
Reports indicate that the creatures are too intelligent to be happy
as pets. The Daansi have experimented on wolves and foxes. |
|
191NA |
The Daansi create a sentient feline. But the creature is very
fierce and untrainable - unsuitable for a pet. |
|
193NA |
Faced with numerous setbacks and failures, the Daansi resolve to try one more time.
The use an already domesticated and docile animal - the horse. Unfortunatly, the horses
kept their memories of "enslavement" by the humans: being forced to pull heavy
carts, being whipped to go fasted even when they could no longer carry on, and
their males being castrated to make them more docile. The horse men revolted against the
Daansi, killing them all while they slept.
The felines, upon being freed, fled into the mountains. The wolves and the
foxes, however, stayed to fight alongside the humans whenever the horse men
returned to exact their revenge upon the humans. |
|
199NA |
The anthropomorphic animals are given race names by the humans.
The wolves are called Lupani, the foxes are called Vulponi,
the felines are called Acini, and the horse men are called Equani. A slang term for the Equani arises, Demoni. |
|
250NA |
The foxes and the wolves begin to set up towns of their own as their
numbers grow. |
In general, these stories take place in the 4th century NA.
