For many years now,
mankind has dreamt of creating
artificial intellegence,
and artificial life. Robots,
cyborgs and other
non-organic life forms have tantalized
our imaginations,
and have inspired stories, art and other
creative expressions.
But has anyone ever asked exactly
WHY? I should like
to give a possible answer.
In creating this new
form of life, we have elevated
ourselves in to the
role of a creator - a 'god' if you
will. We will have
achieved the aspiration of humanity
to become a god -
whether this is right or wrong, for
the good, or for
the evil. But what becomes of our
mechanized 'children'...?
What hope can they have when
their 'gods' are
anything but God-like?...
