Best Motion Picture Anime

5.Dead
Leaves-I think this movie will only interest very specific people.
It has a very unique art style and the animation is amazing. The story isn't
anything special, hell it's pretty confusing at times, but the main drive
behind the movie is the art.

4.Cat Soup-One of the most confusing movies you will ever see, it's extremely short and is like sitting through an acid trips.

3.Tokyo Godfathers-one of the most unpredictable movies I've ever seen in my life. The story is extremely unique, I mean how many movies out there have homeless people as main characters? And as usual in Satoshi Kon's work, the characters look very realistic and he doesn't go out of his way to make them attractive.

2.Akira-Manga better than the anime. The anime and manga are pretty close in quality, just the manga goes into more depth into what's going on. What kind of anime fan would I be if this wasn't on my list? It was a break through movie for the animation industry and kicked the hell out of all the other movies at the time. The movie can be pretty confusing if you watch it once, which is part of why it's so good, I've watched it so many times to figure out everything.

1.Nausicaa-Anime=Manga. Nausicaa still stands as my favorite Miyazaki movie. The animation as usual is gorgeous and while the story is pretty generic, it's still very interesting. The thing that puts this above the other Miyazaki movies is I think this is one of his only movies that doesn't have a moment where it sort of drags on. I love his movies but he does tend to drag on from time to time and Nausicaa is the only one to not suffer from that.
