5.Scrapped Princess-Anime better than the manga. Before I saw the series I thought it was going to be like Slayers or something so I didn't have my hopes high. But the series quickly moved its way into my heart with its interesting characters and unique story. While it's nothing special in the animation department, it's still superior to many recent series.

4.Chrono Crusade-Anime=Manga. One of the most interesting premises I've ever seen in a series. Story wise I enjoyed the manga a bit more but the gorgeous colors and detailed drawings evened the anime and manga out for me. This series would have ranked a little higher if Chrono's outfit didn't bother me so much.

3.Samurai Champloo-Anime better than the manga. Yeah yeah, blasphemy to have Champloo on here and not Bebop. I just enjoyed Champloo more than Bebop, sure Bebop is great I just feel it's overrated. There are just so many well done scenes in the anime and such a strong desire to learn about the characters. Champloo to me had a sort of rocky start and did remind me of Bebop, afterall it was done by the same people, but it grew into its own in my opinion. It had even more of an effective use of music than Bebop.

2.Vision of Escaflowne-Anime better than the manga. Even though the noses drive me crazy, this anime has it all. Gorgeous character designs, backgrounds, a great cast of characters, and one of the best characters ever. (Dilandau) It was the first series I ever bought the soundtrack to.

1.Fullmetal Alchemist-Manga better than the anime. The anime starts out way better than the manga, but they trade off about half through the anime. If it wasn't for the manga this series would probably be #2 because the series went sort of out there towards the end. Both the anime and manga have always left me dying for more and very few series have a better cast of characters. The animation is always top notch and there's very little filler. FMA is also very bold for killing off major characters, something most series won't touch with a 10 foot pole.
