Money. A small, slip of paper. It's name varies: Dollar, franc, yen, mark, pound, and so forth. This slip of paper is backed by gold. But what is gold, but a mere soft, heavy metal? Yes, very true, it is very rare, and is indescribable in lustre. But other than that, why is it so popular? The money itself, a slip of paper. A tree was wasted to create this slip of paper. Why? The tree can do so much more for us. It can help us build our homes. It can fuel. It gives us the air we breathe. But no, it is wasted to create a mere slip of paper. True, I see money's worth as something to trade. A standard trade item. But other than that, what is it worth? A tree or two. That tree, I say again, could've given us a little more air. CLEANER air. I also see money's use in displaying, say, how good something is. But then, I say, how could a certain ammount of little slips of thin paper possibly demonstrate how good something is? Does one not have to TRY something to know for sure? For example, in the world of double reeds, a typical bassoon that follows my own needs and desires costs at least three thousand dollars. Do you not believe the world would be a lot better if this object never existed? The word poor would never again be applied to humans. Robberies would drop dramatically. Man should not be the racist creature that worships a slip of paper that he really is. he should work to BETTER himself, not to obtain wealth. Budgets would be irrelivant. What is a price, but the total number of little slips of paper or pieces of round nickel/brass that something is traded for? Man should be famed not for his intelligence, but for his strange ability to give completely worthless things value. Money. The little slip of paper that one could just as easily wipe the remains after defecitating with or use to blow one's nose. Besides, doesn't one of the Ten Commandments say `Thou shalt not lust?' Wouldn't we all love to have our heart's desires, and not have to spend little slips of paper for it? I know the idea may seem stupid, but it makes perfect sense when thought about.
