You're In The Jungle Now

Hello friend, and welcome to my corner of the jungle. Sit back and relax, and make yourself at home in my world - it's not that much different to yours, from what I've heard... except, of course, for the various additional species of Sentients here (like myself!) along with the Regulars (your usual lower orders of life). We're all pretty civilised here really, so find a patch of grass and get comfortable - and don't worry, I won't bite!

One thing I should mention before you get too settled: my jungle isn't really the place for cubs, kittens and so forth - we're all grown-up animals here. There, I've warned you. Don't make me get my claws out.

Okay, claws and all: some material contained herein may be offensive, explicit, not permitted for minors etc. You know the drill - if you're too young or too sensitive, then thanks for stopping by, and now go somewhere else!

I guess I should introduce and describe myself a bit, so you can get to know a little about me (and I don't know if you can see me very well from where you're sitting). My name's Allan Tomskit ("AliCat" to my friends) and I'm a male Sumatran tiger. I stand 203cm tall and have pretty decent-sized paws and a fairly good body, although I've grown a little chunky around the middle as can happen to tigers! I have a medium-light orange coat and my markings are a quite distinctive mixture of stripes in black and various blue shades, all finished off with a white-furred chest and a black-tipped tail that just touches the ground.

So that's how I look. How do I act? In a nutshell - like a big kitten! Seriously, tigers may rule the jungle, but mostly we have fun in the process. I don't know exactly where we get a reputation for being nasty - all that rubbish about "their roar sends shivers down the spines of those who hear it". Maybe we're just more boisterous than most - after all, I'm certainly not the only big cat more inclined to getting frisky rather than fiesty!

Which brings me to my mate Jess - definitely my better half! "Honey" is a 175cm African lioness (about a head shorter than me) with a great body - slender yet toned as only a lioness can be. Her nickname is inspired by the slightly golden hue to her brown coat, which covers her uniformly and shines just a little in the sunlight. She teaches kindergarden not far from our house, and loves kids of any sort. We're very much in love, and while I can often be a little more playful, she is usually thinking two steps ahead of me - and has a wicked sense of humour when she lets it out too! (By the way, that photo - click it for a close-up - is a shot someone took for us on a picnic in the park recently, although I think I look more interested in her than the food...)
